I'm turning 28 years old today! I like it, it sounds good. Twenty-eight. Grown up but not too much, young adult but not lost, I'm liking this phase. On my birthday, I usually go for a drink with my friends and/or family, go see the fireworks - yeah, I share my special day with the Belgium National Day!- and take some time to reflect on my life. I did that last year with an article called "27 random thoughts on beauty and life", and this time, I wanted to write a list of 28 things I would like to achieve/accomplish/do during my 28th year. Here it is!
* Keep enjoying this blog as much as I do right now
* Find a real job
* Save money to buy a new computer - mine is 7 years old and it's on its last breathe -
* Publish an article
* Read my books before buying new ones
* Go somewhere epic (Island, Norway, Denmark...) to celebrate New Year's Eve
* Go to temporary exhibition before the last day (it gets so crowded)
* Give away clothes that I don't wear anymore
* Continue to make healthier choices when it comes to food
* Go back to Paris to see my friends
* Watch some classic movies that I've never saw before
* Find the perfect cake recipe
* Print more photos - I lost everything once, I won't let it happen again.
* Go on a roadtrip
* Get my passport so I don't have to worry about it anymore
* Plan a trip to the US
* Make an effort to go see my family more often
* Throw our housewarming party
* Explore the Belgian countryside a little bit more
* Go to a 90s party
* Re-read the Harry Potter saga for the thousandth time. They are my happy place!
* Finally improve my Flemish
* Keep in touch with the poeple I've met in Croatia
* Send out real Christmas cards
* Connect more with the blogging community
* Find some beautiful vintage-style dresses and wear them out
* Learn more about html coding and all those geeky-but-very-useful things
* Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy
And... if I don't achieve some of those wishes this year, I don't worry about it. I know I would have tried my best, and there's always next year! No pressure!
