Little food haul: British shop

In Belgium, we have a hard time finding some specific English foods. But we do have a magical place called Stonemanor, an English store a few kilometers away from Brussels in Everberg, that sells all the UK food you have been craving. You can also buy books, magazines, body products, cards, decorations, almost everything, - there even is a tearoom! - but this time, I just wanted to go to check out the food sales (after Christmas and Easter) with a very small budget that is always mine. So this is what I got, rated on 5 - level of deliciousness.
* Sweet shop Chocolate Santa & Snowman. It was on sales for good reasons: that chocolate was suppose to be eaten around Christmas. However, it was still very eatable milk chocolate, in small dose, so I'm looking forward to taste fresh new ones next Christmas. The packaging is so cute!
3/5
* Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoon - 4 chocolate eggs filled with a delicious vanilla mousse. The chocolate is very good quality, it's so decadent, so rich, and so creamy. It made my Easter extra special!
5/5
* Cadbury White Chocolate Buttons - Little pieces of white chocolate, quite straightforward, but so good when you feel a bit down! Let it melt against your palet, and hhhmm, eveything will be ok. Very cute and practical packaging also!
3/5
* Limited Edition Peanut Butter Oreo - Those we can actually find in some mainstream shops in Brussels and probably throughout Belgium, but they were on sales at the Stonemanor, so I couldn't resist! I prefer them to regular Oreos. Controversial, I know! That slight saltiness to them makes them so addictive.
5/5
* Aero Peppermint Bubbles - I do love a good mint-chocolate combo. And this was actually very nice. A slightly bit too chemical for me, but once in a while, why not? I ha to try it.
3/5
* Ma Baker Giant Bar Apricot - A huge flapjack, very nice flavors, and it's vegan too! I ate that as a evening snack while I was babysitting, and it filled me for the whole night.
4/5
* essential Waitrose Cheese Thins - I bought that to eat with a bit of cheese, or just by themselves as a snack or a side nibble for lunch. They are very cheesy, just what I expected. Pleased!
4/5
* McVitie's Dark Chocolate Hobnobs - I was tempted because they were 50% off, and the dark chocolate kind. I found them to be as good as dark chocolate Digestives, which is very positive because those are my favorite biscuits to eat with my tea or coffee.
4/5
* Sour Skittles - I'm not a big candy girl - a prefer chocolate or biscuits - but once in a while, I can appreciate a nice sour candy. I was very pleased with these Skittles, the purple ones are a-ma-zing! I would definitely pick up another bag next time.
5/5
* Blackthorn Dry Somerset Cider - Under 18, look away! Hihi! Cider, ah, I do love cider maybe even more than beer (and for a Belgian, that's something!) So I wanted to try this one. Fresh and light, not too sweet, it's perfect for the sunnier days of spring coming up. Not exceptional, but very nice.

  1. Hi there. I just stumbled across your blog after you liked one of my posts on Hellocoton.
I'm a huge sucker for McVitie's biscuits. Luckily I can find them at my local store in the suburbs of Brussels.
