What's in my Travel Makeup Bag - July 2015

When I go on holidays, I don't want to carry two or three containers just for my make up. That's why I keep my makeup routine to a minimum, while still achieving the look I want. I need something on my skin for redness, I need a little *humpf* on my eyebrows, and I definitely need my eyeliner to achieve my signature winged liner. I also need everything to be done in 10-15 minutes max. I don't want to make anybody wait because I'm putting mascara on, while everybody is ready to leave on an adventure!

Space wise, I want everything to fit in my makeup bag. It looks tricky at first - especially if you want to fit in an eyelash curler! Damn that weird shape! - but it's perfectly doable! Just think about your essentials - skin and eyes. I personally chose to not pack any lipsticks or other lip products than chapstick, because it's always a little higher maintenance than I would like.
So, here's what I took with me on my holiday to France in July 2015:

* Bourjois 1 2 3 Perfect CC Cream - 3 pigments Correction Couleur - in "Ivoire/Ivory"
A very light and liquidy texture, it leaves your skin more even with a powdery finish effect without looking caky. It looks very natural. It also has a SPF15, so on a slightly sunny day, no need to apply too much SPF over/under it!

* Bourjois Liner Feutre Ultra Black 24h
I'm new to felt-tip liner, I always prefer liquid, but this one hold for a very long time, is reliable, and not as dramatic as a liquid liner. For more of a casual yet still sophisticated look.

* Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Pencil in "Mahogany Red"
There are two tips on this products. The first one a wax pencil, to define, and the second is my favorite, a mousse tip, that still gives wax and color when you use it. So practical when you don't want to take too long making your brows presentable.

* Hema Eyebrow Gel in "Soft Brown"
You can wear it by itself - it's a spoolie with brown liquid to tint your eyebrows and keep them in place. Easy, quick.

* An eyelash curler - any will do

* Maybelline the Rocket Volum'Express Waterproof mascara
Waterproof, always dark and waterproof. It's a good mascara, it gives volume, but it's not the best either. It does the job, nothing else.

* Hema Mineral Bronzing Powder in "01"
I packed it for a bit of cheek contouring and a sun kissed look, but did not use it much. I was very hot and I did not want to pack on the makeup on my face for it to melt off a few hours later. A very good and cheap powder though!

* Essence Silky Touch Blush in "10, Adorable"
Same story as the bronzer. Didn't get much use out of it, but it's a very reliable blusher! Nice and pink, it makes you look so cute!

A brush for those two last products:
* Hema Contour Blusher - brush 159
I find brushes so expensive, and this one is really not! Soft, fluffy, I bought two of them for not even half of the price of a Real Techniques one!

And a little extra if you have a special night out
* Sephora. 4 Shadows and Liner Palette. Long lasting, paraben free in n°04 "Eternally purple"
