How I do it - Blue eyeliner

We all love a nice, powerful black cat eye. Liquid liner is a must have in my every day make-up life (that and mascara, the two loves of my make-up life). I am 99% of the time happy with my black line. But sometimes, I like to change it up. Change up the winged liner! You can do that with changing the form of your line, the thickness, but also the color.
Because I have brown eyes, I always thought of trying out blue eyeliner. The contrast of blue and brown is very interesting and complimentary. I picked two shades of blue to investigate; electric and dark blue.

For the bright electric blue eyeliner, I chose Lasplash cosmetics, liquid eyeliner in "Royal Blue". I tried it and... well. By itself, let's just say it's a statement. It's very pigmented, the colors reads is true to the bottle.

To make it more wearable, I thought of pairing it with my classic black eyeliner. To give it definition, and to bring back my eye makeup to a place of seduction, beauty and sexiness, not craziness... So I added a fine black line very close to my eyelashes, and I loved the result.

For the navy blue eyeliner, I used Hema's Eye Liner in n°24.
I found that you can use that color it by itself. It's dark enough to look good without adding any black line.

I love the result of the darker blue on my eyelids. It's different from the basic every-day black liner, and it's sassy. The dark navy blue brings up the different shades of brown eyes - auburn, honey, bronze, coppery, reddish, which makes it very flattering.
After this experiment, I want to continue to play with colors, especially purples and greens, so stay tuned!
